What we have here is an original parking sign from Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. I am guessing the sign is from the 1950's or 1960's as the cost to park was $1. I got the sign, myself, at the stadium over twenty years ago. This very historical ballpark was built in 1910. The Birmingham Black Barons played there in the Negro Leagues and among its players was Hank Aaron. The Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League had Spring Training there in 1919. The University of Alabama played football games, there. Movies have been filmed at the stadium and it is currently being restored to its former greatness.
