What we have here is a Steve Bilko Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger 35" "Don Q Home Run Bat vs. Brooklyn Dodgers 8-2-53 baseball bat. It is game used or a personal commemorative bat manufactured possibly at Bilko's request as a result of hitting a Grand Slam Home Run off Jim Hughes in the Cardinals win over the Dodgers at Bush Stadium on that date. Bilko lived and played baseball in Puerto Rico during the early 1950's and most likely had a connection with Don Q (Don Quixote) Rum made in Puerto Rico during the early 1950's. One of a kind!
