what we have here is a ticket stub from the August 19, 1969 baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets. This significant stub at Shea Stadium was important to the Amazing Mets in this incredible season! In the game Tommie Agee hits a home run in the 14th inning to defeat the Giants and make Juan Marichal the loser of the game by a score of 1-0. In the 12th inning, Agee saved the game with a circus catch of an apparent Willie McCovey home run. On this date, the Mets still trailed the Cubs by 9 1/2 games with only 40 games to play! This stub is a must have for a Mets collector!
