What we have here is an autographed Lefty O'Doul check signed just before his death as he died in 1969 and the check is dated January 5, 1969. It is written for his restaurant that still exists in 2018. He played in the Pacific Coast League and the Major Leagues for the San Francisco Seals, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox and has the highest lifetime batting average of any player NOT in the Hall of Fame! He also established pro baseball in Japan.
